Daisy, our five-year old beagle/lab mix has kept some homes from being available to us as they don't accept pets. Others, have a pet deposit-mostly non-refundable. If we shell out a $250 pet "deposit" and we don't get it back when we leave the property, shouldn't it be called a fee?

We should. And even if we cant she is cute enough to trick them into letting us keep her there free right?
